I. Citizenship of Saint Christopher and Nevis is governed by Chapter VIII (Sections 90-95) of the Constitution of Saint Christopher and Nevis.
II. In 1984 in pursuance of Section 92 (1) (h) Parliament prescribed that such other persons who would be entitled, upon making application, to be registered as citizens. Section 3 (5) of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No. 1 of 1984) provides as follows:
“Subject to subsections (8) and (9) of this section, a person is entitled, upon making application under this subsection to the Minister in the prescribed manner and upon payment of any fee that may be prescribed, to be registered as a citizen of St. Christopher and Nevis without any rights of voting save under and in accordance with the provisions of any law governing the qualification of voters, if the Cabinet is satisfied that such person has invested substantially in St. Christopher and Nevis.”

The Investment requirement may be satisfied in any of the following way:
a. a substantial investment of at least $250,000.00 United States currency or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency in an “approved investment project”
The fee for each Certificate of Registration is US$47.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency. The cost of each passport is US$13.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency.
The registration fees applicable will be:
a. US$35,000.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency for head of household (male or female) or any other adult.
b. US$15,000.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency for either spouse.
c. US$15,000.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency for each child under 18 years, and
d. US$35,000.00 or its equivalent in East Caribbean currency for each adult family member.

Once an item of real estate has been the basis of a successful economic citizenship application, that item of real estate shall cease to be an“approved investment” for any further application without prior approval of the Cabinet.

IV. The Government’s banking facility is the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd., P. O. Box 343, Basseterre, St. Kitts; telephone (869) 465-2204, fax (869) 465-1050. Government’s account with this bank is No. 71050. You may therefore deposit any monies to this account, making all cheque's payable to the Accountant General.

The bank will hold the monies in escrow. Once the application is accepted, the bank will be requested to release the funds so that the transaction can be completed. On the other hand, if the application is NOT accepted, the monies deposited at the bank will NOT be withdrawn. In either case, the applicant will be informed of the status.
